every single would go pretty much to the end, no real late game stuff. the gold on the map would actually run out so the only units you can train in late game are halberdiers and skirmishers(in AOEIII you can build plantations to gather coin) most 3v3 games would go all the way to the end, and there really is not much to get later on. Along with game modes such as Treaty(can't attack in a certain amount of time), Deathmatch, and Regicide, there are infinite ways to play this game and it would last very longДЄOEII:four ages and many technologies. usually a normal 1v1 supremacy game wouldn't get pass fortress (3rd)age. Heroes, equipments and items, skills, levels, etcДЄOEIII:FIVE AGES with HUNDREDS of technologies and more than ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY home city shipments you can choose from. basically what they had in AOEI was moved into this game, and AOEI is the base for almost every single RTS game right now Home city shipments, trading posts, experience, explorer, etcДЄOEII: not much new. WarIII: four choices, incomparable to the two above.however, the four races are COMPLETELY different from one another, which is actually not that badДЄOEIII: this game has a lot of unique stuff, again, some people don't like it, and i don't get why. However, all civilizations are somewhat similar to one another, each only having one unique units, making almost no difference between most civilazations the 8 europeans each has at least 2 unique units and one unique economic boost, and not to mention that the 3 native americans and 3 asians have completely different units and buildings from othersДЄOEII: 18 choices, THAT'S A LOT. WarIII: mythology, somepeople like it, me, not so muchДЄOEIII:with the 2 expensions, AOEIII has 14 countries to choose from. perhaps they hate history classes too much and this is what they talk about there.ДЄOEII: great background, but some people think it's better than AOEIII's background because it's more historic.then why don't u say that AOEI is even better. Amazingly popular theme songs (both original and the Asian Dynasties expension) and the background music is just AMAZING, i sometimes play it just as entertainmentДЄOEII: The music is not bad either.

WarIII: a little better than AOEII, since it's 3D, however, it's particles are actually quite big and unclear, the developers covered that up well with the amazingly dark background.It's details are not as good as AOEIIДЄOEIII: Again, best out of the three. If you still disagree with me, let's compare three well know RTS games that I play, AOEIII, AOEII, and WarcraftIIIДЄOEIII: definitely has the best graphics out of the three.

The first completely successful pirated version of AOEIII came out after 10 months of the official release, which means in that time, people got pissed of AOEIII because they can't download, download stops halfway, can't install what they downloaded, or installed it successfully and can't play it (the amazing 1G memory requirement) Microsoft did almost no advertising for AOEIII and they put too much protection on it. This is actually the publisher Microsoft's fault, not Ensemble Studios'. Then i get this lame excuse that people don't play AOEIII because nobody plays it.
